Biography

Bohdan Wojnar studied economics and management at the Institute of Chemical Technology and the European Business School in Prague. From 1983 to 1985, he worked for the company Kaučuk, in 1985 he joined Škoda Auto, where he held various economic positions. In 1996 he was entrusted with Škoda brand controlling management. In 2006, Volkswagen Slovakia named him a member of the Board of Directors for finances, in September 2008 he also assumed responsibility for human resources management and in 2009 became a Board member for personnel matters. On 1 January 2011, he was appointed a member of the Škoda Auto Board of Directors responsible for Human Resources Management.

Moreover, Bohdan Wojnar was also a member of the Supervisory Board of Zaměstnanecká pojišťovna Škoda and director of the subsidiary ŠKODA IMMO, s.r.o. (2001–2005). In 2006 he chaired the Board of Directors of Zaměstnanecká pojišťovna Škoda, was a member of the Board of the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Automotive Industry Association of the Slovak Republic. At the present time, he is Vice-President of the Czech Automotive Industry Association (AutoSAP) and a member of the Board of Directors of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic. He is also an active member of the Academic Council of the University of Economics in Prague.
