Benjamin Burgunder
Biography
Benjamin Burgunder, a trained chef and fashion designer, was born in Switzerland and entered the world of theatre in Hamburg. There he worked freelance until 2020 to realize his visual worlds in costume and set design. He then returned to his Swiss home in Basel. His work took him from Hamburg‘s Deutsches Schauspielhaus and Thalia Theater to the Norwegian Opera and Ballet in Oslo, to the Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao, and then back to his roots in the theaters of Basel and Zurich. He has also been involved in independent productions, for example at the Canoeing Theatre as part of the Lauenburg Cultural Summer, in the Zurich area with Norman Spenzer, as well as with Hamburg‘s Fleetstreet Theatre and Kampnagel and the Zurich Summer Festival.
