

Born in 1951, she completed her studies at the PWST in Krakow in 1973. At the beginning of her career, she collaborated with Teatr Ludowy in Krakow (1973–75), Teatr Dramatyczny in Szczecin (1975), Teatr im. Ludwika Solskiego in Tarnów (1976–78), and Teatr Polski in Poznań (1978–79). Since 1980, she has been a member of the Słowacki Theatre in Krakow, where she has played a number of significant roles, including in the plays Wesele (The Wedding, 1984), Damy i Huzary (Ladies and Hussars, 1992), Martwe dusze (Dead Souls, 1993), and Udręka życia (The Ordeal of Life, 2011).
Since the 1980s, she has also been a guest performer at Teatr STU, where she appeared, for example, in the plays Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1988) and Prezidentky (The Presidents, 1999). She is also known from television and film productions, including the series Z biegiem lat, z biegiem dni (Over the Years, Over the Days, 1980), Čas Honoru (Time of Honour), and popular series such as Na dobre i na złe (For Better and For Worse) and M jak miłość (L for Love). For her artistic work, she has received many awards, including the Ludwik award for the supporting role of Elżbieta Jepanczyn in the production Idiot, and in March 2012, she was awarded the Silver Cross for Merit to Culture Gloria Artis.
