Biography

Mezzo-soprano Anna Moriová made her debut at the National Theatre in 2022 as Feklusha in Leoš Janáček's opera Katya Kabanova.
She graduated from the Pilsen Conservatory under the guidance of Simona Procházková. Since 2019 she has been a student at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in the class of Natalia Melnik. She regularly participates in singing courses under the guidance of prominent personalities (A. Carangelo, V. Chmelo, G. Beňačková, K. Kněžíková, M. Cukrová, B. Lafont) and in 2021 she became the winner of the Dušek Singing Competition in Prague and a finalist of the International Antonín Dvořák Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary. In 2022 she completed a six-month internship at the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna in the class of Sebastian Vittucci, Stephen Delaney and Anton Scharinger. In December 2022, she made her debut at the Moravian Theatre in Olomouc as the Third Wood Nymph (A. Dvořák: Rusalka) and in May 2023 she made her debut there as Annio (W. A. Mozart: La clemenza di Tito). Since September 2023, she has been a soloist of the Moravian Theatre Opera in Olomouc.
