Angus Ledgerwood
Biography
Angus Ledgerwood is a baritone working in Sydney. He is currently studying his second Masters of Music Studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, specifying in Opera Performance. As a Young Artist of Pacific Opera’s 2022 season, he performed the roles of Mr Gedge in Britten’s Albert Herring; Yamadori in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly; and Aeneas in Purcell’s Dido & Aeneas. He also toured to Tamworth in 2022 to perform the role of Brack Weaver in Weill’s Down In The Valley. In October 2023, he will perform the role of Nutrice in Elena Kats-Chernin’s reimagining of Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea, a production partnering with Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA).
