András Juhász

Biography

András Juhász is a Hungarian visual artist and video designer working at the intersection of moving image and stage since the mid-1990s. He began in the underground electronic scene and is among the first generation of Hungarian artists to explore live cinema and VJ culture.

In theatre, he develops video designs in close collaboration with directors and stage designers, while also pursuing independent projects in installation and live video performance. His work has been presented across Europe in a wide range of productions and exhibitions.

He was part of the Hungarian team behind the award-winning exhibition Infinity DUNE at the Prague Quadrennial (2019). For this production, he collaborated with several of the same artists he is now working with on this performance. His practice is defined by long-term collaborations and a continuous exploration of the relationship between image and live performance.
