Mezzosoprano Alžběta Vomáčková graduated from Prague Conservatory as a student of Brigita Šulcová in 2013. Currently she studies at Prague Academy of Music with Roman Janál. She has attended the Masterclasses of singing in Karlovy Vary with A. Carangelo, N. Hillebrand and M. Blahušiaková, in Italy with F. M. Algeri, S. Heger and V. Licari and masterclasses of songs by D. Pecková in Prague. She has been the prize winner of numerous competitions, such as the 2nd prize at International Singing Competition Ferruccio Tagliavini, Deutschlandsberg – Graz in Austria, the 3rd prize at Imrich Godin International Singing Competition Iuventus canti, Vráble in Slovakia, the 2nd and the 3rd prize (Junior) and she has been awarded National Theatre Brno Prize, Best aria performance, Beno Blachut Prize at Antonín Dvořák’s International Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary in Czech Republic. In 2012 she made her debut as the Witch (Rusalka) in the North Bohemian Opera and Ballet Theatre Ústí nad Labem. Since 2013 she has been a guest artist of the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen appearing as Siébel (Faust), Aloisie (B. Martinů: The Soldier and the Dancer) and of the F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec appearing as Preziosilla (La Forza del Destino), the Third Wood Sprite (Rusalka), Nicklausse (Les Contes d´Hoffmann), Maddalena (Verdi: Rigoletto), and Joan of Arc (Tchaikovsky: The Maid of Orleans). In 2013 she made her debut in the State Opera in Prague as the Third Wood Sprite (Rusalka). In the National Theatre she has perfomed as Fyodor (Mussorgsky: Boris Godunov), Prophet (Martinů: Juliette), Pippetto (Donizetti: Viva la Mamma) and Cherubino (Mozart: Le nozze di Figaro). In 2014 she performed as the Kitchen boy and the Third Wood Sprite in Rusalka in Revolving Open-Air Theatre Český Krumlov. She was nominated for the 2013 Thalia Award in the category of Female Opera Singer in the role of Preziosilla in the production La Forza del Destino (F. X. Šalda Theatre). In the Czech Republic her professional concert and operatic engagements have involved work with conductors such as František Babický, Tomáš Brauner, Martin Doubravský, František Drs, Jan Chalupecký, Petr Kofroň, Rudolf Krečmer, Miriam Němcová, Jiří Štrunc, Marek Vorlíček, Jaroslav Kyzlink and Enrico Dovico.
