Biography
Ahyoung Jeong is currently pursuing Doctor of Music degree in Voice Performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, studying with Professor Carol Vaness. Her competition awards include the third-place for National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) National Round, first-place of NATS New England Regional. Jeong has performed many operatic roles such as Papagena in New England Conservatory 2014 production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Musetta in Seoul National University production of Puccini’s La Bohème and Oscar in Seoul National University Museum of Art (MOA) Verdi Gala concert; Un Ballo in Maschera. In this summer, she is going to perform Zerlina in Prague Summer Nights production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni. As a concert singer, Jeong sang soprano solos in Händel’s Messiah and Mozart’s Coronation Mass. She has performed Mozart’s Requiem and Bach 6 Motets as the first soprano soloist with Bloomington Chamber Singers. She has earned her Bachelor of Music degree at the Seoul National University in South Korea and Master of Music degree at the New England Conservatory.
