The National Theatre cancels 14 opera performances in 14 days 


In accordance with government regulations, the National Theatre will not perform any of the planned opera titles in any of the theatre buildings from 5 to 18 October 2020. We will however offer four special orchestral concerts.  The Drama, Ballet and Laterna magika ensembles continue to perform as scheduled.

Concerts performed by the National Theatre Orchestra and the State Opera Orchestra will take place on 13 October (the Estates Theatre), on 14 and 18 October (the State Opera), and on 16 October (the historical building of the National Theatre). The program will be specified on the theatre's website . At the same time the National Theatre limits the maximum capacity of performances to 500 people. In accordance with government regulations the theatre´s buffets are closed.

Purchased tickets for canceled opera performances can be returned at the place of purchase:  they can be exchanged for tickets for one of the offered concerts, for the same title for another date or for any other title from the repertoire of the National Theatre or we will return the entrance fee.

We continue to keep all theatre buildings safe for you. Disinfection is available in all theatre buildings, face maks can be purchased at the box offices. We measure the body temperature of all employees daily.
