The work of the illustrator Tereza Bartůňková is successful not just in homeland. With the visual-poster created for Laterna magika performance The Garden, she entered the prestigious World Illustration Awards and appeared on the shortlist of applicants – 200 of more than 3 600 applied. Tereza’s work was enlisted in the Advertising category and under the New Talent (artists who graduated or started their professional work in 2017 or later). Every category has a winner in the Professional (long term) and New Talent (emerging artist) and there are 8 categories in general. Moreover, the jury chooses overall winners of the contest and there are couple of other prizes. So the chances are not small! The contest is organized by the British Association of Illustrators and has a 40-years-long history. The award ceremony will take place on July 10 in London. Everyone on the shortlist will be featured in a printed full colour catalogue, which is distributed to over 1,300 commissioners worldwide and the work will also be featured in a major exhibition that will take place in Somerset House in central London from July 11 to 28. Fingers crossed for Laterna and Tereza!
