The Czech National Ballet On Tour – China 2019

La Bayadère – 5 cities – 10 performances – 2 Gala shows

The Czech National Ballet just returned from a month-long tour to China. In five cities our dancers performed ten times the full-length ballet La Bayadère. Moreover they took part in two gala evenings.

Thousands of kilometres, demanding travelling, different climate and unknown habits and expectations of Chinese people and audiences.
Nanjing / Zhuhai / Shenzen / Shangai / Beijing

But dance unites us and provides common ground without words. Last but not lest – The Czech National Ballet was in good company in China. Our dancers performed as part of a project presenting to Chinese people the very best of the world dance scene. And so the CNB danced on the same stage as the Mariinsky Ballet from St. Petersburg or Paris Opera Ballet.
