Gran Teatre del Liceu
The Gran Teatre del Liceu built in 1847 ranks among the most prestigious scenes. It is considered one of the most important opera houses in Europe and the most beautiful architectural monument in Barcelona. Gran Teatre burned down twice (1861, 1994), both stage and auditorium were destroyed, but new theatre was opened in 2000 with a much bigger technical space.
