Opera

If you missed the TV premiere of the recording of Bedřich Smetana’s “Dalibor” as performed by the National Theatre in Prague in 2019, you may watch it now via the iVysílání broadcasting service of the Czech Television.

The production was prepared by a team of significant renown: Jiří Nekvasil as director, Daniel Dvořák as stage designer and Jaroslav Kyzlink as the conductor. The award-winning Slovak tenor Michal Lehotský sang the title role of Dalibor and Adam Plachetka, a soloist of the Vienna State Opera, was the Czech king Vladislav. Supporting them in the performance of the romantic tragedy were soloists of the National Theatre, namely Dana Burešová, Alžběta Poláčková, Jiří Brückler, Jiří Sulženko, Jaroslav Březina and others accompanied by the National Theatre Orchestra and Chorus.
