Dance Europe Announces CRITICS’ CHOICE

Since 1995, the prestigious British magazine Dance Europe has been covering the European dance scene, reporting on new premieres, projects, and personalities pushing the boundaries of choreography and performance. The magazine’s annual CRITICS’ CHOICE awards recognize outstanding achievements in dance.

Eight European critics active on the international ballet scene nominated the season’s most impressive dancers, premieres, ballet companies, and artistic directors. Among them is British dance critic Alison Kent, who regularly visits Prague and follows premieres and activities at the National Theatre Ballet.

Paul Irmatov has been nominated in the Best Dancer of the Season category for his performances throughout the season, all roles that left audiences on their feet.
