On Sunday, September 28, the banks of the Vltava River in Prague came alive with the first annual multi-genre festival Poznej Vltavu (Discover the Vltava). The event, which stretched from Podolí to Bubeneč, offered the public a varied program and the opportunity to visit places that are not normally accessible. The festival, organized by the municipal organization Creative Prague, presented the Vltava not only as a natural phenomenon, but also as a source of inspiration, education, and movement.
Dozens of institutions and organizations participated in the program, including the National Theater. ND+ lecturers, in cooperation with the marketing department, prepared a series of special guided tours of the technological tunnel under the historic ND building. Visitors enjoyed not only a unique view of Prague Castle across the river, but also a short musical excerpt from Smetana's symphonic poem Vltava, performed by musicians from the Czech Philharmonic Quartet.
