Balet ND On Tour – Trento 2023

Another series of tours of the Czech National Ballet is far from over. The Czech National Ballet On Tour – Trento 2023

After a successful guest performance in Bonn, Germany (January 4 and 5, 2023) with the production Kafka: The Trial, part of the ensemble moved to another cultural destination.

This time it was Trento, the capital of the northermost Italian province of Trentino-Alto Adige. The Teatro Sociale, a historic building with ornate interiors designed in 1818 by the Italian architect Giuseppe Maria Ducati, hosted our soloists for one evening only, on February 14, 2023.

The programme, titled Ballet Gala, was truly varied and presented the Italian audience with the best of classical, neoclassical and modern repertoire. Our soloists Irina Burduja, Romina Contreras, Alina Nanu, Ayaka Fujii, Kristýna Němečková, Patrik Holeček, Federico Ievoli, Paul Irmatov, Matěj Šust, Adam Zvonař and Danilo Lo Monaco danced in classical choreographies from Swan Lake, the Sleeping Beauty, La Fille mal gardée, Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker – A Christmas Carol, Le Corsaire and Don Quixote or in modern works by contemporary creators such as Viktor Konvalinka, Douglas Lee, Katarzyna Kozielska, Robert Bondara, Eric Gauthier or Mauro Bigonzetti.
