On 23 October 2025, the Czech National Ballet will give the Czech premiere of Liliom, a work by the legendary American choreographer John Neumeier, who has previously enthused Prague dance lovers with his masterpiece A Streetcar Named Desire. The ballet, which received its world premiere in 2011, is based on Ferenc Molnár’s play Liliom, depicting a tragic love story, the inability to express affection, a story of error and failure, as well as the desire for redemption.
