Tim Ribic

Guest of the Opera

The tenor Tim Ribič has become a keen student of music at an early age. At first, he started playing the guitar, then he began to study singing in the class of prof. Jolanda Korat. He continued his vocal studies at the Franz Schubert Conservatory in Vienna in the class of prof. S. P. Cenčič. He graduated at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz where he graduated with honours at the postgraduate programme of singing (in the class of Ulf Bästlein). He perfected his vocal technique at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome (under Renata Scotto, Silvana Bazzoni Bartoli and Cesare Scarton), as well as at the Academy Verdiana in Busseto in the class of Carlo Bergonzi. He is a regular guest of various renowned opera and concert stages across Slovenia, Germany, Austria, Croatia, Spain, Italy and Japan. He performed as Alfred in Strauss’s operetta Die Fledermaus (for production in Opera Maribor), as Camille (The Merry Widow), Paris (La belle Hélène), Franz (Les contes d’Hoffmann), Stefan Koltay (Victoria and Her Hussar), and Gornik (in Slovene opera Ljubezen kapital – Love Capital), etc.
