Tatyana Juraszek

Composer and conductor Tatyana Juraszek studied piano, music theory and piano pedagogy in Frankfurt, and furthered her education at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna where she studied composition and, from 2016–2018, orchestration with Ertugrul Sevsay. She attended master classes in composition (with Beat Furrer and Pierluigi Billone), flute (Eva Furrer) and several other disciplines, and has won several composition contests. Since 2017 she has worked with the Sepia Ensemble, a Polish ensemble specializing in contemporary music. In November 2018 she conducted a performance of Impulse, by Greek composer Anestis Logothetis, at the Wien Modern festival. At the Poznan Music Spring Festival in February 2019, the Sepia Ensemble performed her composition, Triptychon (2016–2017). Her other compositions include most notably Weisse Schatten for two flutes (2018), Narva for harp, piano, double-bass and percussion (2018), Resurrection for flute, Jew’s harp and piano (2016–2017), Quintet for Piano, Percussion, Tenor Saxophone, Violin and Cello (2017), and Sudoku for percussion and piano (2015).
