Biography

Permanent guest of the National Theatre Opera. Martina Bauerová first worked in Liberec opera as well as being a guest in Ústí nad Labem at the same time. In 1992 she accepted an engagement at the National theatre Opera. During the course of her first engagements she completed the singing courses in Weimar with Professor Pavel Lisicjan. Among other roles interpreted by her at the National theatre we have to recall her Esmeralda (Smetana: The Bartered Bride), Kitchen Boy (Dvořák: Rusalka), Janáček‘s Kristina (The Makropulos Affair) and Jano (Jenůfa), Mozart’s Papagena (Die Zauberflöte), Despina (Così fan tutte), Barbarina and Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Frasquita (Bizet: Carmen), Felicie in Philip Glass‘s La Belle et la Bête and others. Martina Bauerová also engages herself in concert activities. At the present, she is not in engagement in any theatre and is a permanent guest of the National Theatre.Update: 2005
