Klára Džuganová

Biography

Guest of the National Theatre Opera. Klára Džuganová was born in 1976 in Teplice. Between 1994 and 2000 she studied voice at the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem. At the present time, she is studying solo singing with Magdalena Hájossyová and is also a member of the opera ensemble of State Opera Prague, performing there in solo roles; for example, Verdi’s Annina (La traviata) and Countess Ceprano (Rigoletto), Puccini’s Shepherd (Tosca) and Cio-Cio San’s Mother (Madama Butterfly), Frasquita (Bizet: Carmen), the Second Lady (Mozart: Die Zauberflöte) and the Second Wood Nymph (Dvořák: Rusalka). She has toured Japan and South Korea with the ensemble of State Opera Prague. Moreover, she has devoted to concert activity. Update: June 2008
