Guset of the Opera
The baritone Joachim Goltz, born 1973 in Mannheim, studied at the Hochschule für Musik in Detmold before becoming a permanent member of the ensembles at theaters in Freiberg, Detmold, Würzburg and Wiesbaden. Since 2014 he has been a permanent member of the Nationaltheater in Mannheim. He has an extensive repertoire which includes several Wagner roles, such as Alberich, Amfortas, Klingsor, Kurwenal, Telramund, Beckmesser and Heerrufer. His repertoire also include roles of Father (Hänsel and Gretel), Pizarro (Fidelio), Don Magnifico (La Cenerentola), Golaud (Pelléas et Mélisande), Carlos di Vargas (La Forza del Destino), Falstaff, Papageno (Die Zauberflöte) and Faninal (Der Rosenkavalier). Recent guest performances have led him to Semperoper Dresden, the Komische Oper Berlin, the Nationaltheater Weimar, and to opera houses in St. Gallen, Hannover, Saarbrücken, Heidelberg, Erfurt, Lübeck, Bremerhaven, Zagreb, Wiesbaden, Augsburg, Würzburg, and to the Ljubljana Festival in Slovenia. He equally proves his talents and versatility in concert and is a frequent guest in the Philharmonie and the Konzerthaus in Berlin.
