Festival Know the Vltava: The Secret National Theatre

On September 22, as part of World Rivers Day, the Vltava River and its surroundings will host the first annual multi-genre festival “Know the Vltava,” the largest of its kind in Europe.

Convince yourself that the National Theatre can still surprise after 143 years. The very beginning of the tour will be exceptional. We will enter the underground through the service entrance for artists. Together we will then peek into the otherwise inaccessible technological tunnel leading to the Vltava River. On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Bedřich Smetana's birth, we will also hear an excerpt from his most famous symphonic poem dedicated to none other than the Vltava.
