Yago Catalinas Heredia
Biography
He was born in Barcelona, Spain, where he received his dance education. He finished the studies at the dance school Centre de Danza de Catalunya (CDC) in 2013. In 2013 he received an engagement in dance ensemble of the Mainz State Theatre, Germany (Staatstheater Mainz). Since 2014, he worked in the dance theatre Tanzcompagnie Giessen belonging to the stage of the Staatstheater Giessen in Germany.
In the 2015/2016 season he joined as a permanent guest of the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre, he became a member of the ensemble in January 2017 and a Corps de ballet with soloist obligations in March 2017.
The Spanish temperament, persuasive acting and prior experience from dance theatres in Germany have gradually brought him interesting and demanding roles, for example Cardinal Richelieu in the ballet Three Musketeers in choreography by Paul Chalmer, and Rothbart in Swan Lake in choreography by Vejsada using the classical version by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov.
