Biography
Vendula Johnová was born in 1978. She graduated from the Secondary Private Art School in Ostrava, where she studied graphic metal and gemstone workmanship, goldsmithery and silversmithery (1997). From the Department of Arts and Crafts of the Teachers’ College of Olomouc’s Palacký University she graduated in 2002 in the subject Arts and Crafts for primary art schools and secondary schools. During her studies she participated in a number of collective exhibitions and workshops. She worked as the curator of a student gallery and since 1999 has devoted to pedagogic work with children. Between 2002 and 2004 she was employed at the Secondary Vocational Clothing School in Prostějov teaching the following subjects: arts and crafts, calligraphy, figurative drawing and creative culture history. Since 2000 she has collaborated with Ensemble Damian and Tomáš Hanzlík on all the ensemble’s stage projects. Since 2005 she has been teaching at the Primary Art School in Mohelnice.
