Biography

She is currently a voice teacher in the vocal performance department of HaiNan university of China. She is a member of’Western returned scholars Association’ and ‘Asian Art Association’.

Ms. Hu graduated from the Capital Normal university of China and obtained her Master of Music from The Longy school of music of Bard College , and obtained her Performance Diploma from Boston university. She is currently pursuing her PHD at Academy of Music,Dance and Fine Arts in Plovdiv of Bulgaria.

Ms. Hu is a sought-after versatile performer  who was awarded the 1st prize at ‘Grand prize Virtuoso’ international competition. 1st prize of ‘China •Korea  piano vocal international competition. 2nd prize of Hong Kong International music competition. she also received an honorable mention at NATS competition. and semifinals of the 6th International Otto Edelman  Singing competition –Vienna.

On the concert stage, she is engaged to art song recital and opera scenes concerts, include opera ‘ La clemenza di Tito’ ‘Carmen’ ‘Lucia di lammermoor’ ‘Magic flute’ …… and song cycle’ Le nuits d’été’ ‘Frauenliebe und Leben’ …… In 2021, the theme concert tour of ‘ The most beautiful song dedicated to you’ was launched.

Ms.Hu’s operatic appearances include Suzuki(cover) and Aunt in ‘Madam Butterfly’ and ‘My fair Lady’ with Ash Lawn opera company. Hippolyta in ‘The  Midsummer Night’s dream’ with Boston University opera institute. Flora in ‘La Traviata’ with  New opera company. ‘Cosi fan tutte’ with Boston university opera institute. ‘Turandot’ with Central Conservatory of music. She also is engaged to appear in some English  opera and Chinese opera, such as ‘Down in the Valley’ ‘ The Saint of Bleecker street’ ‘Regret for the Past(伤逝)’…… During the summer of 2023 season, she will back to ‘Prague Summer Nights 2023’ and reappear in ‘ Le Nozze di Figaro’ as Marcelina.
