Ralitsa Ralinova
Biography
Bulgarian soprano Ralitsa Ralinova made her debut at the National Theatre as Susanna (Mozart: Le nozze di Figaro) in 2023.
She studied piano and voice at the National Academy of Music in Sofia. She participated in master classes with Vera Nikolova, Olivier Dauriat, Alexandrina Milcheva, Ivan Anguélov and Thomas Moser.
In 2015 she made her debut in the role of Gilda (Verdi: Rigoletto), which she has been singing regularly at the Sofia National Opera since 2016. From 2014 to 2023 she was a soloist with the Wuppertaler Bühnen, where she appeared, for example, as Zerlina (Mozart: Don Giovanni), Pamina (Mozart: Die Zauberflöte), Adina (Donizetti: L’elisir d‘amore), Musetta (Puccini: La bohème) and Lisa (Lehár: Das Land des Lächelns). In 2021, she made her debut in the role of Verdi's Violetta (La traviata). In 2022 she made her debut as Euridice (Gluck: Orfeo ed Euridice) at the Gluck Festival in Nuremberg. She has also performed at the Volkstheater Rostock and the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau. Since the 2023/24 season she has been a soloist at the Staatstheater Kassel, where she made her debut as Donna Anna (Mozart: Don Giovanni).
For her interpretation of Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Micaela (Carmen) and the title role in Martinů‘s Juliette she was nominated for the Opernwelt magazine's Best Young Singer Award 2019. She won 1st prize at the Provadia Singing Competition, 1st prize at the Bulgarian International Singing Competition Hope, Talents, Masters and Grand Prix at the Parashkev Hadzhiev Academic Competition in Sofia. As a concert pianist, she won, for example, 1st prize at the National Competition of Veselin Stoyanov in Sofia and 2nd prize at the National Piano Competition in Pleven.
