Biography

Poet, translator, Germanist and educator, teaches at the German Language Department at the Technical University of Liberec. He has written a number of collections of poetry (e.g. Havarijní řád, Tramvestie, Zevnitř) and a book of prose with Helena Skalická (A to si pak můžeš řikat, co chceš), as well as radiophonic compositions for the Czech Radio 3 – Vltava station. In 2010, his piece Vesmír (Universe) received the Prix Bohemia Radio. He has translated into Czech Hans Magnus Enzensberger’s cycle of poems The Sinking of the Titanic and, with Nikola Mizerová, compiled and translated an anthology of the legendary Wiener Gruppe. As a scholar, he has also devoted to literary collage and montage, and acoustic literature.
