Megan Barker

Biography

Megan Barker has performed as Laurie in Oklahoma!, Hope Cladwell in Urinetown, and Maria in the Sound of Music. The Marriage of Figaro will be her debut full-length opera, and she could not be more thrilled nor more thankful to Prague Summer Nights for the opportunity. She trained at Interlochen Center for the Arts during the summers of 2019 and 2020, and she performed in the New York All-State Chorus in the same years. Most recently, Megan had the opportunity to participate in a masterclass with Paula Villareal. In the same year, she also won the Denison University Concerto/Aria Competition. She is a rising junior at Denison University in Ohio in the United States, where she studies with Emily Nöel.
