Biography

Mariana is of Brazilian and Italian nationality.

She began her studies at the age of seven at Ballet Vera Bublitz in Porto Alegre. After finishing her studies in 2013 she enrolled at Canada’s National Ballet School and studied there until 2018. In 2016 she gained further experience at John Cranko School Summer Exchange. In 2018 Mariana joined the junior company of Ballet Zurich and danced there until 2020. During her studies but especially later as a member of Ballet Zurich she had the opportunity to interpret various roles. In 2018 and 2019 she showed her exceptional skills in Swan Lake by Alexei Ratmasky, Submerge by Goyo Montero, Wounded by Louis Stiens, Echo of Elements by Felipe Portugal, Anna Karenina; Nussknacker und Mausekönig; Romeo und Julia; Das Mädchen mit den Schwefelhölzern by Christian Spuck, Emergence by Crystal Pite, Sechs Tänze by Jiří Kylián, Nijinski by Marco Goecke and Giselle by Patrice Bart.
