Jared Cohen

Biography

Jared Cohen, a tenor from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, received his Bachelor of Music from Oberlin Conservatory where he studied with Timothy LeFebvre. Jared has performed many roles such as the title role in Berstein’s Candide and the title role in Handel’s Acis and Galatea. He has also studied roles such as Nemorino from Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore and Sam from Kurt Weill’s Street Scene. Outside of opera, Jared performs a wide range of repertoire and has most recently studied and performed the works of Gerald Finzi, Strauss, and Beethoven.
