Jan Willem Baljet

The Dutch baritone Jan Willem Baljet studied voice at the conservatories in Metz, France, and Utrecht, the Netherlands (with the distinguished German baritone Udo Reinemann). His operatic repertoire includes the roles of Mozart’s Papageno (Die Zauberflöte), Don Giovanni, Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro) and Verdi’s Don Carlo (La forza del destino). He has also regularly performed at concerts (Dvořák, Mahler, Bruckner, Fauré, Weill, Ravel, etc.) and appeared as a soloist at prestigious festivals (Holland Festival, BBC Proms, Het Gelders Festival, Festival de Auvers-sur-Oise, Festival de Périgord Pourpre, Les Heures Romantiques, Grachtenfestival).
