Gabriél Deidenbach Spadaro

Corps de ballet member of The Czech National Ballet

Biography

Italian dancer Gabriél Deidenbach Spadaro (born in Gavardo, Brescia) first discovered dance by imitating his mother – a childhood game that quickly grew into a calling. He took his first ballet steps at the age of five, later expanding his training to include contemporary, historical dance and dance theatre, laying the foundation for a versatile artistic journey.

After early training in Italy, he enriched his education with international experiences: in 2016 he attended a two-week course at the Staatliche Ballettschule Berlin, followed by studies at the Russian Ballet College in Genoa (2017–2019). He went on to participate in several competitions and workshops, including the Training Stage International Competition Dance in Spoleto (2017–2018). In 2020 he continued his studies at the Associazione Danza S.D. Aurino & Beltrame in Palermo under Candida Amato, and in 2021 he refined his artistry during programmes at Ballettzentrum Hamburg – John Neumeier and at the National Theatre Belgrade with Jovica Begojev.

Since 2021 he has studied at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan under the guidance of Jean P. Halnaut, Leonid Nikonov, Emanuela Tagliavia and with the direction of Frédéric Olivieri, from which he is set to graduate in June 2025.

On stage he has already embodied a broad repertoire ranging from Petipa classics to 20th-century neoclassicism and contemporary creations. With the Accademia Teatro alla Scala, he danced in Mauro Bigonzetti’s Rossini Cards and Mario Pistoni’s La Strada, Suite (2023–2025, Bari–Milan–Dubai–Senigallia), Frédéric Olivieri’s stagings of La Fille mal gardée and Cenerentola (2022–2025, Bologna–Milan), as well as George Balanchine’s Allegro Brillante (2023–2024). He also appeared in The Nutcracker and in Le Réveil de Flore (Palermo, 2022, staged by Candida Amato after Marius Petipa). His graduation year includes performances at the Nervi International Ballet Festival (June 2025, Genoa) in La Fille mal gardée choreographed by Frédéric Olivieri.

Fluent in Italian and proficient in English (B2), Gabriél combines a solid academic formation with an instinct for contemporary aesthetics, moving naturally between narrative classics and modern interpretations. His performances reveal both precision and sensitivity, offering audiences a dancer who transforms each role into a compelling and personal story.
