Corinna Crome

Biography

Corinna Crome studied stage and costume design at the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst Mozarteum in Salzburg, which she followed up by a working visit at the Bayerisches Staatsschauspielhaus. She was subsequently active as assistant to the costume and set designers Nina Ritter, Wilfried Minks (Oedipus and The Making of B-Movie  at the Bayerisches Staatsschauspielhaus; Dagobert Lindlau´s Sankt-Pauli Saga  at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg), Philip Tiedemann (Peter Handke´s Kaspar, at the Burgtheater in Vienna; and Thomas Bernhard´s Der Ignorant und der Wahnsinnige  at the Berliner Ensemble), and Michael Simon (Heiner Müller´s Bildbeschreibung for the Weimar Arts Festival). Working on her own for the Bayerisches Staatschauspielhaus, she designed sets for their production of Tankred Dorst´s Die Schattenlinie, and sets and costumes for Ingeborg Bachmann´s Der gute Gott von Manhattan; and did the sets and costume design for the Altonaer Theater´s production of Kleist´s Amphitryon. Elsewhere, she created costumes for Haydn´s opera L´infedelta delusa at the Haydn Festival in Eisenstadt, costumes for Dvořák´s Rusalka at the Theater Erfurt, costumes for Mozart´s Don Giovanni at the Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater, and costumes and marionettes for Wagner´s Der Ring des Nibelungen in Budapest. At the Staatsoperette Dresden, she designed costumes for their production of Mozart´s Die Zauberflöte, and at the Landestheater Linz costumes for Mozart´s opera Così fan tutte and for Verdi´s Il trovatore.
