Amelie Siba
Biography
The young Prague-based singer-songwriter Amélie Siba first gained recognition for several singles. In 2019, she made the EP It was nice to meet you, which she created in tandem with Lukáš Vydra from the band Dukla. Her first record, Dye my hair, released in 2020, features a set of intimate songs, focusing on growing up, and people’s relationships to themselves and others. The album has been acclaimed by the critics for its remarkable maturity and duly earned 17-year-old Amélie the Apollo music prize. Also praised have been its overall quality, including the mix and the sleeve’s graphic design. At Laterna magika, Amélie has participated in the film New Normal within the Laterna for Camera cycle.
