Barbora Kohoutková is a renowned teacher, ballet mistress, instructor and former principal dancer with prestigious world ballet companies.

The Czech National Ballet warmly welcomes a new ballet mistress Barbora Kohoutková.

Barbora Kohoutková studied at the Prague Dance Conservatory and is a sought-after dance pedagogue, ballet mistress and instructor. Above all, she is the former principal dancer from the Finnish National Ballet, Bavarian State Ballet, Boston Ballet, Hamburg Ballet or Aalto Ballet Essen. In the course of her studies she received numerous international awards such as Grand Prix in Paris, Gold medal and Grand Prix in Helsinki, Grand Prix in New York or Philip Morris Best Artist Award in Helsinki.

She performed a number of classical and neoclassical roles and had the opportunity to work with great ballet mistress, teachers and famous choreographers. She was a dance partner of many distinguished ballet dancers, for instance Roberto Bolle, Friedemann Vogel or Semyon Chudin.

Apart from working as a guest ballet master all over the world, Barbora Kohoutková is a Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis® certified instructor and owner of Art of Movement Studio in Prague, the only studio of these special training and movement methods in the Czech Republic.
