Music, and opera in particular, is among the most intimate witnesses to the flights and falls of human freedom. And it is undoubtedly one of its most ardent advocates. A concert opening the 2019/20 season and dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia, which was held on 12 September at the National Theatre historical building, featured superb opera singers, the National Theatre Orchestra and Chorus, conducted by Jaroslav Kyzlink.
