A spectacular gala concert reopens the door to the State Opera following a three-year general reconstruction. Symbolically, on Sunday, 5 January 2020, exactly 132 years since its frst inauguration in 1888, the overture to Richard Wagner’s Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg will be frst performed under the baton of Karl-Heinz steffens, Music Director of the State Opera.
