Marta Reichelová

Guest of the Opera

Czech lyric-coloratura soprano Marta Reichelová (b. in Jeseník in 1985) graduated from the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava and since 2007 she has studied with Prof. Jarmila Hladíková at the Janáček Academy of Music (JAMU) in Brno. Earning the master’s degree, she continues her postgraduate JAMU studies. Her performance in the Chamber Opera JAMU includes the roles of Jano (Janáček: Jenůfa), Anča (E. Zámečník: Burlesque About a Vat), Monica (Menotti: Medium), Carolina (Cimarosa: Il matrimonio segreto) or Serpina (Pergolesi: La serva padrona). Since 2011 Marta Reichelová has guest appeared at the the Silesian Theatre in Opava (as Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel), at the J. K. Tyl’s Theatre in Plzeň (Fenicie in Martinů’s Soldier and Dancer) and at the National Theatre Brno (Dafne in the eponymous opera by V. Zouhar and T. Hanzlík, First nymph in Dvořák’s Rusalka or Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni). She also joined the National Theatre Brno during the company´s visit with Rusalka in the Royal Opera House Muscat in Oman. Marta Reichelová has taken part in several singing competitions including Antonín Dvořák International Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary (2nd prize in the Opera category and other awards) and regularly attends the international singing materclasses in the Czech Republic as well as abroad. Her activities are aimed at concert venues not only in her country, but also abroad (Turkey and Austria). She has performed with the Prague Symphony Orchestra, Brno Philharmonic, Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra Ostrava, Hradišťan Orchestra and Jiří Pavlica, pianists Richard Pohl and Michal Zátopek, Moravian Trio, boys’ choir Pueri Gaudentes and others.
