Accessibility for the disabled

All the National Theatre venues are accessible to disabled persons, with special seats allocated for them in the auditorium. It is, however, advisable to consult each visit in advance with the National Theatre Sales Department.

How to purchase tickets?

Should you be interested in attending a performance at one of our venues in a wheelchair, please contact us as soon as possible. The number of seats allocated for persons in wheelchairs is limited at all our venues. Please do not book other seats in the auditorium yourself. Should you opt to receive tickets on delivery or by certified mail, you have to purchase them no later than 2 weeks prior to the selected performance.

How to purchase a subscription?

Disabled persons can buy a subscription for all National Theatre venues. Subscriptions are on sale twice during the season – the full-season subscription in the spring and the Christmas subscription in the autumn. Persons in wheelchairs are advised to consult purchasing of subscriptions with the subscription department.

Barrier-tickets

It is therefore recommended that a visit to the theatre by such a person be announced in advance when purchasing a ticket.

The State Opera
Persons with impaired movement abilities have seats allocated at both ends of the 15th row in the parterre

The Estates Theatre
Box No. 13 on the upper circle is earmarked for persons with reduced mobility.

The New Stage

Discount for disabled persons

The National Theatre grants a 50% discount for persons with cards attesting to special health impairments and special health impairments requiring an attendant. One card entitles the holder to purchase a maximum of one ticket at a discount. Cards attesting to special health impairments requiring an attendant entitle the holders to purchase no more than 2 discounted tickets, with one of them being for the attendant.

Access paths to the theatre venues

Each of the theatre buildings has a special access path suitable for the disabled. We recommend assistance by an attendant in all cases. The theatre staff are available as attendants from the venue entrance to the auditorium seat.
