The main storyline is the questionable fidelity of a newly married couple. Aristide and Madeleine return home to Nice after their one-year honeymoon, where their friends are already impatiently waiting for them. The idyll is disrupted by an unexpected telegram from Aristide’s ex-lover Tangolita, who wants to secretly meet Aristide at a famous ball at the Savoy Hotel. Madeleine soon discovers Aristide’s plan for a secret meeting, which he concocts together with his friend, the Turkish attaché Mustafa Bey, and decides to go to the ball in disguise as well. We won’t reveal who else intervenes in the story, or how it will all turn out... The story of love, enchanting melodies of jazz, Hungarian czardás, tango, Viennese waltz and klezmer.
