About
The Forman Brothers’ Theatre takes us on a new theatrical adventure, inspired by the work of the Persian mystic Farid ud-Din Attar (1145–1221). This allegorical tale describes the birds’ quest to find their sovereign so that peace and tranquillity may once again reign in the world. The production is conceived as a reflection of a journey into one’s inner self, narrated on stage primarily through powerful images and impressive atmosphere.
The distinctive mobile venue allows a closer connection between the stage and the auditorium. The traditional features, such as costumes, puppets and masks, are supported by expressive set design and large-format projections. The collective of actors and dancers coming from various countries and featuring diverse skills, languages and skin colours creates a multifaceted image of a bird community, not uncoincidentally reminiscent of the human world.
