Laterna magika

Václav Havel
The New Stage

Basic information

The New Stage

Approximate running time

50 minutes, no intermission

In Czech

March 21, 2013

The visual-movement production, featuring elements of interactivity, is based on Václav Havel’s eponymous collection of experimental poems.

In Anticodes, conventional pre-shot film material is replaced with projections and sounds that arise live during the performance.
The Laterna magika project employs real-time tracking – detecting persons or objects in predetermined zones.
The milieu of the stage thus in real time reacts by picture or sound to the dancers’ movement on the stage.
