A semi-staged performance of an opera written by Alois Hába between 1934 and 1936 for the National Theatre yet never performed. Owing to its depicting the violent collectivisation in a Soviet village, based on the Russian writer Fyodor Gladkov’s novel, the Czechoslovak Ministry of Education officially banned the opera for political reasons.

Duration of the performance: 1 hour and 30 minutes, no intermission.

The opera is staged in czech original language and czech and english surtitles are used in the performance.

This production is not performed at the present time.
