Stage director: Jan Antonín Pitínský
Dramaturgy: Martin Urban

The production is based on the individual manuscripts and at the same time follows the fates of their alleged forgers, as well as the echoes of the books in Czech theatre and literature. It is a dramatic story from the Manuscripts and of the Manuscripts, works that have become a sort of foundation, but also millstone, of Czech letters, and Czech spiritual and political life. They are fascinating works of poetry, and just as fascinating is their story. And there is no other stage in the country better suited than the National Theatre to depict this story. The task has been undertaken by the “theatre poet” J. A. Pitínský. The author of several plays, volumes of poetry and novels is again returning to the National Theatre, not only as a director but a playwright too.

Drama in czech language.
