Soloist of The Czech National Ballet


Soloist with Czech National Ballet. Her gentle stage presence and girlish looks makes her perfect for such roles as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Lise in La Fille mal gardée or madame de Tourvel in Valmont. Former dancer with Vienna State Opera with Manuel Legris as her artistic director. Soloist of Czech National Ballet since 2015, she recieved a Thalia Award the same year for her role of Juliet.

Born in Ostrava where she studied at Janáček’s conservatory, graduated in 2005. As a student she was a guest artist with National Moravian-Silesian Theatre (Nutcracker, Swan Lake), in 2003 she was one of the Czech students selected for 2 months stay at The Rock School Philadephia in the US. At International ballet competition in Brno in 2003 she has won 3rd prize in B category, next year she was 2nd in A category as well as a finalisto f International Ballet Competition in Vienna.

She joined Czech National Ballet in 2005, in 2009 she was named a demi soloist. In 2010 she joined ballet company of Vienna State Opera. Her reperory with the company included choreographies by George Balanchine (Rubbies, Violin concerto, Who cares?), Jerome Robbins (Glass Pieces, The Concert), Serge Lifar (Suite en Blanc), Twyla Tharp (Brahms – Haydn Variations), Pierre Lacotte (La Sylphide, La Vivandière), Peter Wright (The Sleeping Beauty), Roland Petit (Le Concours, die Fledermaus), John Neumeier (Bach Suite) a Rudolf Nureyev (Don Quixote, Raymonda). She also created roles in ballets by Jiří Kylián, Jiří Bubeníček or Patrick de Bana.

In 2012 she re-joined Czech National Ballet, in 2015 she  was names a soloist of the company. Her principal roles include title parts in La Sylphide (Bournonville) and Goldilocks (Kodet) as well as Juliet (Romeo and Juliet; Zuska), Clara (Nutcracker – A Christmas Carol; Vàmos), Gerda (Snow Queen; Corder), madame de Tourvel (Valmont; Vaculík) and Lise (La Fille mal gardée; Ashton).

She created roles in choreographies by Jiří Kylián (Petit Mort, Symphony of Psalms, Last Touch), George Balanchine (Serenade), Glen Tetley (Rite of Spring), Uwe Scholz (7th symphony in A major), Petr Zuska (Stabat Mater, 1st symphony in D major, Brel – Vysotsky – Kryl / Solo for three) among others.

In 2013 she recieved a Thalia Award for her role of Juliet in Petr Zuska’s Romeo and Juliet.
