Two DVD set containing the two most succesful productions BREL –  VYSOCKIJ – KRYL / Solo for Three and Solo for the Two of Us by a choreographer and director Petr Zuska was produced in collaboration with the Czech television. This set also contains a bonus: a profile documentary by director Martin Kubala, in which you will take a closer look not only at Zuska's professional career, but also at his privat life.

DVD 1:

BREL – VYSOTSKIJ – KRYL / Solo for Three (116 minutes)

A cult performance inspired by the life and songs of three singing poets – Jacques Brel, Vladimir Vysocky and Karel Kryl. Although they spoke different langueges, they could be universally understood. They were the voice of their time, the voice of their nation, but first and foremost the voice of the human heart irrespective of time and space. This dance theatre piece by director and choreographer Petr Zuska is unique in its symbolism, detailed elaboration of the story and ingenious directoral concept.

DVD 2:

Sólo pro nás dva/ Solo for the Two of Us (107 minutes)

Petr Zuska‘ dance theatre piece Sólo pro nás dva (Solo For The Two Of Us) compromises several levels at once, particularly the relationship between a man and a woman, between a person and the demon hiding inside of them, between the individual and the society of which they were a part, and between us and nature. And last but not least, it is a solo for Jaromír Nohavica and Beata Bocek, whose music was Peter Zuska’s inspiration this time round.

BONUS: Tremble by Petr Zuska (52 minutes)

Petr Zuska’s way to professional dancing and choreography led from the Prague Chamber Ballet over the National Theatre Ballet, the Munich Ballet, the Grands Ballets Canadiens to the position of the Chief of the National Theatre Ballet, where he was for fifteen years until 2017. This documentary shows the cross-section of his work during the last year as the head of the National Theatre Ballet, the rehearsals and the gala premiere of his last the most essential works but also - so important for him - the family background. Document is in Czech language.
