Federica Bona was born in Palermo, Italy, in 1999. She started studying ballet at the age of 5 in her hometown, in the ballet school called "Associazione Danza Aurino e Beltrame" under the direction of Candida Amato.
In 2014 she won the 1° Place Soloist Juniores, with the “Second Odalisque” variation from “Le Corsaire” at the “Danzalcamo” Summer School Festival; in the same year she participated in the international ballet competition “Sicilia Barocca” in Modica (Sicily), until the final round Soloist Juniores with the “Second Odalisque” variation and the “Fairy doll” variation, and until the final round Groups Juniores with the “Pas de trois des Odalisques” from “Le Corsaire”. In 2015 she won a scholarship for one week course at the “Ballettshule Hamburg Ballett John Neumeier” and she also participated in the Covent Garden International Summer School at the “Royal Ballet School of London”.
In 2015 she joined the "Accademia Teatro alla Scala" ballet school in Milan and during her studies she participated in the following shows: “Nutcracker” coreographed by F. Olivieri at "Piccolo teatro Strehler"; “Cinderella” coreographed by F. Olivieri at "Teatro Carlo Felice" in Genova, at "Piccolo teatro Strehler" in Milan and at "Teatro alla Scala"; “Paquita” (corps de ballet) at "Teatro Comunale di Ferrara".
She graduated in 2018 and the next year she joined the company of the San Carlo Theater of Naples (Italy) as a corps de ballet member for the production of "Swan Lake", coreographed by Ricardo Nunez.
In August 2019 she joined the Czech National Ballet company as a corps de ballet member and she danced in the following shows: “Swan Lake”, coreographed by John Cranko, “La Bayadère”, coreographed by Marius Petipa and revisited by Javier Torres during the "China tour", "Leonce and Lena" by Christian Spuck, "The Nutcracker - A Christmas Carol" by Youri Vàmos, Timeless: "Le Sacre du Printemps" by Glen Tetley and "Serenade" by George Balanchine, "Onegin" by John Cranko, "La Fille mal gardée" by Frederick Ashton, "The Sleeping Beauty" by Màrcia Haydée.
