Biography

Born in Belgrade, Zoran Todorovich has won international recognition and has appeared in leading theaters such as the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, Staatsoper Berlin, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Netherlands Opera in Amsterdam, La Monnaie in Brussels, Vienna State Opera, Semperoper in Dresden, Covent Garden in London, National Theatre in Tokyo, San Francisco Opera, Los Angeles Opera and others, as well as at the Bregenz Festival. His broad repertoire includes most of the key roles for a dramatic tenor and in 2009 he had a great success when he sang his first Wagnerian role, the title role in Lohengrin which he performed at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo.
In the 2010/2011 season, he sang his first Andrea Chénier in Marseille, first Jean in Massenet’s Herodiade at the Flemish Opera in Ghent and Antwerp; he also returned to the Bavarian State Opera as Pollione in Norma opposite Edita Gruberova and was a partner of Edita Gruberova in Roberto Devereux at concert in Warsaw. In 2013 he added a new Wagnerian and a new Verdi roles to his repertoire; appearing as Radames in Aida in Marseille and as Parsifal for the Flemish Opera. In the 2016/2017 season he debuted at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein as Otello and Calaf (Turandot), and performed in Monte Carlo (Hagenbach in La Wally), in Antwerp and Ghent (Otello), Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires (Florestan in Fidelio) and as Pollione with the Prague State Opera tour in Japan opposite Edita Gruberova. In the 2017/2018 season his engagements included Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly) in Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Hagenbach at Teatro del Giglio in Lucca and Canio (I pagliacci) in Oper Leipzig.
2017/2018
