Zoltán Korda

Biography

Zoltán Korda (*1968) graduated in voice from the Brno Conservatorium of Music and from JAMU (Janáček Academy of Arts). He has won prizes in several national and international vocal competitions, such as A.Dvořák’s Competition in Karlovy Vary (2nd prize), Competition of conservatoirs in Pardubice (1st and 3rd prize), International Competition in Salzburg (Special Prize) and Yamaha competition (1st prize). In 1999 he was nominated for the Thalia prize for his role as Nemorino in Donizetti’s Elixier of Love. In 1992-1993 Zoltán Korda attached singing course in Osimo, Italy, under the supervision of professor Melani and co-operated with tenor Franco Corelli. Zoltán Korda is a soloist at the National Theatre Brno and guest with other opera companies in the Czech Republic including the National Opera in Prague.
